Politics & Society<\/h3>\n

Our aim is to convey the ideational prerequisites of our liberal social order and our social market economy to young people. Throughout the program we oppose right-wing extremists, left-wing extremists, and fundamentalist ideologies.<\/p>\n

We hope to encourage young people to form their own opinion based on our Grundgesetz (German constitution) and to actively incorporate this into their volunteer and leadership activities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Philosophy & Ethics<\/h3>\n

Our young leaders grapple with fundamental questions of humanity and different disciplines of philosophy. For example, what is ‘the good’? Is it the same for everyone or different for everyone? Who is a human? What is human dignity and where does it come from? What consequences do we draw from this? What is the relationship between the individual and the community? What responsibility do we bear?<\/p>\n

Scientific progress in particular opens up many new possibilities, but also invites scrutiny: Is humanity allowed to do everything it has the ability to? Must we limit innovation for ethical reasons?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
